After the American Revolution this nation was lost on how the government was going to be. The early presidents of this country do in truth important finishs that constituted the country for a long time. doubting Thomas Jefferson and George Washington made ii of the most important presidential decisions. The proclamation of Neutrality and the lanthanum Purchase are the two very important decisions they made for this country.
The first President of the unite States, George Washington was known for being a war general. He made a very shocking and important decision as a President. He created the unlike policy called the Proclamation of Neutrality. He made this remote policy because he believed that if the U.S got gnarly in atomic number 63an conflict it will hurt the U.S. This abroad policy was easy to enforce because of the Atlantic maritime. The Atlantic Ocean made a huge gap between Europe and the Americas so it was easy to not get involved in any conflict. This foreign policy was created in September 17, 1796. This foreign policy is important because both France and Great Britain were in a war and wanted the United States to join a alliance. This foreign policy stopped us from joining any alliances.



This effected the United States in the long run because France and Britain started to attack American ships. This made made it hard for the U.S to stick to this policy.
Thomas Jefferson made the biggest decision of his life by buying destroy from the French. It was backbreaking for him to make that decision because he was a strict constructionist. purchase land was not in The Constitution so its not something you can do if you are a strict constructionist. The Louisiana Purchase was done in 1803. Jeffersons purchase doubled the surface of the United States, it expanded to the west.
